Mais ele \u00e9 n\u00e3o o \u00fanico sistema utilizado para classificar o sangue. Segundo a Sociedade Internacional de Transfus\u00e3o Sangu\u00ednea (ISBT) existem, atualmente, 47 sistemas que descrevem mais de 360 ant\u00edgenos diferentes e esse n\u00famero n\u00e3o \u00e9 definitivo. Entre os ant\u00edgenos j\u00e1 conhecidos, alguns s\u00e3o extremamente raros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Recentemente, um paciente internado no Hospital de Urg\u00eancia de Teresina (HUT) que passou por uma amputa\u00e7\u00e3o de membros, precisou de transfus\u00e3o de sangue. O protocolo exige que junto com a solicita\u00e7\u00e3o de transfus\u00e3o seja enviada uma amostra para a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de exames que comprovem o tipo sangu\u00edneo do paciente, chamado de identifica\u00e7\u00e3o de anticorpos e prova de compatibilidade com outros soros raros. A frequ\u00eancia de encontrar um doador \u00e9 e de 0.01 a 1% na popula\u00e7\u00e3o geral\u201d, explica do supervisor do laborat\u00f3rio, Pedro Afonso Sousa.<br>O Hemopi possui um Laborat\u00f3rio de Fenotipagem que ajuda a encontrar tanto doadores quanto receptores com fen\u00f3tipos raros. Inaugurado em 2011, o Laborat\u00f3rio possui atualmente cerca de seis mil doadores cadastros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Pedro Afonso Sousa conta que foram realizadas duas doa\u00e7\u00f5es para o paciente. \u201cAo se detectar o fen\u00f3tipo raro fomos em busca de doadores compat\u00edveis em nosso banco de dados. Achamos sete doadores tipo Gerbich 2 negativo, mas somente dois conseguiram efetivar a doa\u00e7\u00e3o, sendo um de Teresina e outra da cidade de Miguel Alves. A pesquisa de doadores raros \u00e9 uma pr\u00e1tica pouca realizada no pa\u00eds e o Hemopi \u00e9 um dos hemocentros que possui esse servi\u00e7o de fenotipagem.
